Are retro games actually good… or do we just want them to be? In this video, I explore a question that’s been sitting with me for years: how much of our love for retro gaming comes from genuine quality, and how much comes from nostalgia, memory, and the lives we lived when these games first mattered to us? Retro gaming shaped my childhood. It coloured my happiest years, it gave me stories, friendships, and moments that still feel alive today. But that also means I’m biased — heavily. I’ve spent decades with these classics, while my exposure to modern gaming is tiny in comparison. So is it even possible to be objective? Maybe retro games aren’t universally “better.” Maybe they don’t need to be. Maybe they’re special because of one simple fact... they are ours. 📬/ peak.retro.official@gmail.com https://www.youtube.com/@Peak.Retro.Official https://www.facebook.com/share/1BJt2mxUBM/ -------------------------- 'Life In Motion' by Scott Buckley - released under CC-BY 4.0. www.scottbuck
