After the complete destruction of one of their Kilauea Volcano webcams, the United States Geologic Survey (USGS) installed a new webcam and this time with an audio feed. Three days later Kilauea erupted, shooting ash and large chunks of tephra (welded ash pumice stone) directly towards the webcam, knocking it down.
