In this video I address how well written the indie game Felvidek is, and how it succeeds where most other games fail in its use of unique character voice and overall narrative tone. I highlight the way that modern videogame story telling relies on deconstructive narratives too much, and what actually constitutes 'good videogame writing'. I am shocked that an RPG maker indie game is the best written game I have played in years. 00:00 - Felvidek 00:30 - Terrible Videogame Dialog 00:48 - Why Felvidek is Better 03:20 - Writing in Videogames 04:30 - Unique Voices in Games 05:58 - Zesting The Sour Boi 06:34 - Grounded Writing is Refreshing 07:55 - Deconstructive Media 11:52 - Characters 15:05 - Sincerity 15:48 - Closing Thoughts Clips: Half-Life 2 but it's a Modern AAA game... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3pKjiUQU6g&t=167s Focus M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKMD4t2Dbl8
