In her inspiring talk, Dilara explores why children and teenagers are often underestimated as change-makers, and how those barriers can be challenged. A student researcher and STEM advocate, Dilara is passionate about empowering young people to use curiosity for real-world change. After a personal experience with her brother’s illness sparked her interest in medical research, Dilara went on to develop award-winning computational biology research. Outside of academics, she enjoys cooking, listening to music, and spending time with friends.
