Aid flotilla activist Caitriona Graham says Israeli forces used rubber bullets, restraints and physical force during the interception of a Gaza-bound aid mission. Speaking to Al Jazeera from Istanbul after being deported from Israel, Graham described what she called an escalation in the treatment of activists participating in flotilla missions. She said activists were detained after Israeli forces boarded the vessel, adding that previous missions involved less violence. Graham says the flotilla’s goal is to challenge the blockade on Gaza and raise awareness about the humanitarian situation faced by Palestinians.
