One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce has apologised to a journalist after a staffer told her to "shut up", in the latest run-in between the party and the press. The exchange between Richard Henderson, a media adviser to One Nation leader Pauline Hanson, and a Guardian Australia reporter was captured on camera. Henderson made the comment as he tried to wrap up a press conference announcing the party's gas policy in Adelaide. The reporter was attempting to ask Senator Hanson if James Ashby would be running for Senate pre-selection at the next federal election. Later, Senator Hanson was caught on camera remarking to her entourage, including Mr Joyce and Mr Henderson, "Should've said, 'You're the nasty b-tch'". Mr Joyce on Friday said he had called the journalist and apologised for the "shut up" comment. The Guardian responded with "No comment" about the incident when contacted by AAP.
