Monica Bellucci joined French director Léa Mysius at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival premiere of their new film, "The Birthday Party" ("Histoires De La Nuit"). The film is Mysius' Cannes competition debut and also stars Hafsia Herzi and Bastien Bouillon in the tale of a family gathering that leads to the confrontation of their darkest secrets. Also in attendance at the premiere were stars including Eva Longoria, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Gillian Anderson and Stellan Skarsgård. The Cannes Film Festival wraps up on Saturday night, when the winner of the Palme d'Or — the festival's top prize — will be announced. Also Friday, a round of a-paws for “La Perra,” winner of this year’s Palm Dog award at the Cannes Film Festival. The Chilean movie took the top canine prize.
