This week, Senate Republicans described Trump’s so-called “anti-weaponization” fund as “Utterly stupid, morally wrong, “unexplainable,” “a galactic blunder, and “stupid on stilts.” According to Senator Ted Cruz, more than half of Republican Senators blasted Attorney General Todd Blanche over the settlement, accusing it of being “inside dealing.” In the House, there is now a bipartisan bill to block this fund co-authored by Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick. Whether it will ever be brought to the floor for a vote is yet to be seen.
