A gas explosion at the Liushenyu coal mine in Shanxi province has killed 82 people, making it China's deadliest mining disaster in more than 15 years. Emergency crews are still searching for two missing workers, with toxic fumes hampering rescue efforts. Authorities have detained executives from the mine's operator, the Tongzhou Group, accusing the firm of serious safety violations, including providing an inaccurate blueprint of the facility.
