Health authorities have been facing increasing resistance from the community in eastern Congo’s rapidly spreading Ebola outbreak, with two of three Ebola treatment centers having been burned by local residents and burials now being carried out under armed escort. Officials have faced difficulties in past outbreaks as burials must be carried out by professionals as the bodies of Ebola victims are extremely infectious.
