May 25th marks the day Israeli forces withdrew from southern Lebanon in the year 2000. It's known as “Liberation Day” but 26 years later, liberation is facing a dual threat. An expanding Israeli military campaign and a systematic effort to erase the physical evidence of alleged past war crimes. Recent satellite imagery shows Israeli bulldozers have completely razed what remained of the infamous Khiam Detention Center - a torture complex once operated by Israel and its proxy militia.
