Tamil Nadu Food and Civil Supplies Minister and Mylapore MLA P. Venkataramana said the government is coordinating multiple departments to address public grievances quickly and efficiently. Speaking at a press conference, he said collective meetings involving departments such as Electricity Board, PWD, Housing Board and Urban Development were being held to speed up solutions for civic issues within two to three months. The Minister said he meets the public twice a week at his Mylapore MLA office to directly receive complaints and forward them to concerned departments for immediate action. He added that special attention is being given to sanitation and safety facilities for girl students near schools to prevent crimes and improve infrastructure. On the issue of new ration cards, Mr. Venkataramana said applications are under inspection and printing is underway.
