The United States military launched new strikes Tuesday, targeting missile launchers in southern Iran and destroyed Iranian ships attempting to place mines in the Persian Gulf. U.S. Central Command says the attacks were done in "self defense," claiming Iran's actions were threatening American forces. Iran's supreme leader is now warning that the U.S. "will not have any safe area in the region."
