Nineteen women and children, including former ISIS brides, have returned to Australia from Syria, landing in Sydney and Melbourne without arrests. Among them is Nesrine Zahab from Bankstown, whose family says she has apologised for marrying an ISIS fighter and travelling to Syria. Counter-terrorism police are continuing investigations, with calls for ongoing surveillance and monitoring of the returned women, though no charges have been laid at this time.
