भारत के मैदानी इलाकों में पड़ रही भीषण गर्मी और लू के कारण शिमला में सामान्य पर्यटन सीजन से पहले ही पर्यटकों की भारी भीड़ उमड़ पड़ी है। पिछले 24 दिनों में 6.31 लाख से अधिक वाहन शिमला पहुंचे, जिनमें से करीब 70 हजार वाहन सिर्फ 72 घंटों में आए। इससे शहर में ट्रैफिक जाम और पार्किंग की समस्या और गंभीर हो गई है। बढ़ती भीड़ को देखते हुए प्रशासन ने ट्रैफिक प्रबंधन के विशेष इंतज़ाम किए हैं, जबकि जून में पर्यटकों की संख्या और बढ़ने की संभावना जताई जा रही है। A severe heatwave across India’s plains has triggered an early tourist rush to Shimla, weeks before the usual peak summer season.
