Check out my free introduction to writing for orchestra course: https://thinkspace.ac.uk/free/spitfire-discover-free-course/ Today I return to question I have touched on before. How do you compose straight into score writing software? We have done this before a lots of you asked for a second video so here we go! Of course this is essentially what composers have been doing for centuries but it's a very different process to scoring into a DAW with lots of pros and cons. Dorico is Steinberg's flagship score writing software and the software I use all the time particularly when working with live orchestra. In this tutorial, I will be starting to compose a piece so you can see how I use the software, the key commands and shortcuts, real time midi input and much more besides.
