After spending nearly two decades in a Saudi Arabian prison, Abdul Rahim returned to his hometown in Kozhikode, Kerala, on Eid, marking the end of a prolonged legal battle that gained international attention. Rahim had been arrested in 2006 in connection with the death of a 15-year-old Saudi boy under his care. Initially sentenced to death, his sentence was later suspended after the victim’s family agreed to accept blood money under Islamic law. A global crowdfunding campaign led by the Malayali diaspora raised nearly ₹34 crore, paving the way for his release after a Saudi court sentenced him to 20 years, a term he had already served. #AbdulRahim #Kerala #SaudiArabia #Kozhikode #Eid #MalayaliDiaspora #SaudiPrison #BreakingNews #IndiaNews #HumanInterest Thank you for watching our video!
