We have many ties to our past that we can learn from. Lewis holds a degree from Wells College, an Executive Mini MBA from Belmont College, with additional coursework at Fordham and Scarritt Bennett. She was part of the original launch team for the MTV MUSIC TELEVISION, discovered and managed Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. She founded award-winning PLA Media, creating successful campaigns for entrepreneurs, authors, and entertainers, including Steve Winwood, Dolly Parton, and Steve Earle, among others. She served as Franklin alderman and vice mayor, spearheading many preservation, women's and children's issues, workforce, and environmental efforts. Her foundation has raised millions for many worthwhile organizations. In honor of our 250th anniversary, Lewis has just released 2 books on America's first rock star... Ben Franklin. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
