Qatar Emir, Trump discuss diplomacy and regional de-escalation in phone call

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from the US President Donald Trump. During the call the Qatari Emir stressed the need to prioritize political and diplomatic solutions and dialogue among all parties to consolidate regional security and stability and spare the region further tension and escalation. The US president expressed his appreciation for the role played by the State of Qatar in supporting Pakistan's mediation efforts and strengthening channels of communication among the various parties. He also commended Qatar's efforts aimed at bringing viewpoints closer together and advancing paths towards de-escalation in the region.
