The Kerala Forest Department launched a search operation in Wayanad to capture the wild elephant that killed a woman in Meppadi village. Jessy, a native of Puthumala, died after the elephant attacked the scooter on which she was travelling with her husband at Choondiyavalavu. Her husband was also injured in the incident. Residents accused authorities of failing to install adequate fencing and improve visibility along vulnerable roadside stretches near forest areas. Officials announced ₹5 lakh financial assistance and temporary government employment for a family member, while intensified efforts are underway to push the elephant back into the forest and strengthen preventive measures. #Wayanad #Kerala #ElephantAttack #ForestDepartment #HumanAnimalConflict #Meppadi #Wildlife #KeralaNews #WildElephant #IndiaNews Thank you for watching our video!
