Food is an indispensable part of our lives, yet some people suffer from a difficult relationship with it. In Anaya’s talk, she shares the idea that food is not our biggest enemy and that we should not be judged based on our body sizes. Presenting her personal struggles, Anaya hopes to inspire anyone suffering to reach out for help towards a brighter future. Anaya is a Grade 11 student at Elgin Park Secondary School who is motivated to leave a positive impact in her community. As a shy individual, she gradually challenged herself to step out of her comfort zone to meet new people and share her ideas publicly. In her free time, Anaya loves to dance, bake and try new cafes. She is also deeply passionate about animals and would like to pursue veterinary medicine in the future: This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
