We all have moments when we think, “Maybe winning isn’t for me.” But not winning doesn’t mean you’re losing; it means you’re still becoming. In her TEDx talk, “Winning Isn’t for Everyone,” Saanvi delves into the aspects of winning that people rarely discuss. Saanvi, an international student from India studying Computer Science at HKUST, has earned multiple scholarships for her mix of passion and perseverance. From research at the University of Cambridge to interning at Deloitte, she unites innovation and purpose to make technology more human. Her journey began beyond tech. At 15, she represented India at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the world’s largest arts festival, where her group was nominated for Best Dance. Since then, she has explored across continents and disciplines, representing both India and Hong Kong at global competitions, including Harvard, and excelling in 21 hackathons hosted by IBM, UNODC, Sino Group, and Cyberport. Beyond awards, Saanvi’s work is rooted in empathy
