Students stuck on rollercoaster in Texas for hours

Eight students were stuck for hours on a rollercoaster in Texas after it stopped partway through a 100 foot vertical lift. The Iron Shark ride in Galveston suffered a malfunction, leaving the passengers stranded until firefighters could rescue them. The high school students were on a field trip and have all been rescued and confirmed safe. The ride owners said a thorough inspection will take place before it is placed back in service.
