Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said India aims to increase foreign tourist arrivals from 10 million to 100 million by 2047, stressing that tourism will become one of the country’s biggest job and foreign exchange generators. In an exclusive interview with PTI in Delhi, Mr. Shekhawat said India’s improved infrastructure, rising domestic travel demand and changing global perception under Prime Minister Narendra Modi have transformed the tourism landscape.
