Multi award-winning 🇬🇭 hip hop artist Sarkodie is one of Africa’s most celebrated rappers. Blending hip hop with hiplife and Afrobeats, Sarkodie has sold tens of millions of album copies and won over 80 awards since the release of his debut album in 2009. For the first time, his popular Rapperholic concert series has been to London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, as the rapper continues to strengthen his ties with African diaspora communities around the world. The BBC’s Aaron Akinyemi met with him as he prepared for his performance on Ghana’s Independence Day.
