In this guitar lesson, we'll be answering that question and looking at how the CAGED system really should be taught to guitar players. I've broken this lesson down into two main ways of looking at CAGED: as a VERTICAL fretboard navigation system and as a HORIZONTAL navigation system. The combination of both will allow you to fully understand the fretboard for both lead and rhythm guitar by combining it with the pentatonic scale and the major scale.
