16mm film from STS-3, Space Shuttle Columbia in 1982. Film shows launch and landing activities from various positions. Both a side camera and a front forward facing camera were running for the launch, you can see it was a cloudy day above the launch pad. Also some footage shot by one of the crew (Gordon Fullerton I believe was on camera) as the Canadaarm is shown articulating the Plasma Diagnostics Package around the payload bay. This footage was shot at a lower frame rate, I believe 12 or 15fps, so some frame interpolation was done to attempt to return this to an accurate framerate. As a result, some visual glitching is present. Launch and landing audio synced to the best of my ability. Shuttle interior launch added to the launch segment. Payload bay footage is not properly synced to anything. I included some audio of the PAO feed that seemed appropriate during this section Launch audio and STS-3 highlights from the NASA Audio Archive, courtesy of Johnson Space Center.
