For decades, handhelds were the cheapest way to get into video games and Nintendo knew just how to dominate the market. These days, it's a different story. The handhelds may be more powerful than ever, but they're also more expensive than ever. Let's take a look at the evolution of handhelds from the Gameboy to the Switch to the devices the Switch inspired, which may have cost us more than we realize.
