Sir Jeffrey Donaldson has been found guilty of all 18 charges in his historical sex offences trial and told to expect a lengthly prison sentence. The prosecution case, set out before a jury of seven men and five women at Newry Crown Court, was that the former DUP Leader had sexually assaulted two women when they were children. He has been remanded into custody and placed on the sex offenders' register. The two women, who both gave evidence during the four-week trial, were known as Complainants A and B to protect their identities. Donaldson was found guilty of 10 charges relating to Complainant B, the older of the two women, including one count of rape and nine of indecent assault, dating from 1985 to 1991.
