Court officials today escorted controversial preacher Paul Nthenge Mackenzie and his co-accused to his homestead in Furunzi, Malindi, Kilifi County, for a scene visit as part of the Shakahola deaths trial. The court inspected Mackenzie’s church, while two former followers testified before High Court Judge Wendy Kagendo. Mackenzie’s son, Dan Mackenzie, also told the court about the dangers of the cult’s beliefs, claiming some family members remain under its influence and calling for urgent intervention.
