Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has escaped sentencing for contempt after apologising to the court for disobeying orders that halted the construction of a U.S.-funded Ebola quarantine facility at the Laikipia Air Base. Duale, who was found guilty of contempt of court, expressed remorse and told the court he had since directed the suspension of the project. The court accepted his apology and released him with a stern warning against repeating the offence.
