Supergirl Review: Milly Alcock Deserves Better. Nearly a year after Superman launched the new DC Universe, Supergirl arrives with high expectations and an entirely different kind of hero at its center. Unlike Clark Kent, Kara Zor-El carries the trauma of Krypton's destruction in a much more personal way. The film uses that grief as the foundation of its story, pairing Kara with Ruthy Marino on a revenge-driven journey across the cosmos. The result is a superhero adventure packed with exciting action, strong visual spectacle, and several genuinely emotional moments.
