Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal called for deeper economic collaboration between India and the United Kingdom while addressing the Business Plenary Session in London. He highlighted the recently concluded India-UK trade agreement and announced a five-year social security arrangement that would exempt eligible Indian professionals from dual social security contributions, resulting in savings of nearly 25%. Mr. Goyal urged Indian businesses to focus on quality, scale, mechanisation and branding to expand India's share in the UK import market. He said the world increasingly trusts India's economic capabilities and that modern free trade agreements go beyond tariff reductions to strengthen long-term partnerships. The Minister also questioned global credit rating agencies for what he described as their failure to adequately reflect India's economic fundamentals and growth trajectory. #PiyushGoyal #IndiaUK #London #IndiaUKTradeDeal #CommerceMinister #BusinessPlenary #Trad
