“Major Retailer” Issues Warning of Console Shortages Ahead of GTA 6 - IGN Daily Fix

Right now, consoles are not exactly flying off shelves - generally, raising the price of things by several hundred dollars doesn’t make people MORE inclined to buy them - but if a recent report is to be believed, they might soon be in very high demand. The Game Business reported that a senior buyer for a “major retailer” spoke anonymously to them about the likelihood of shortages later this year, claiming “We’ve been informed that because of the on-going issues around hardware component availability, we won’t be getting the units we want ahead of GTA.
