Venezuela Earthquake: India RUSHES Doctors, Aid to Quake-Hit Venezuela, Operation Amistad Begins

India has launched Operation Amistad, a major humanitarian relief mission to support earthquake-hit Venezuela. Two Indian Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft have been dispatched carrying more than 35 tonnes of relief material, an Indian Army Field Hospital, a 41-member medical team, and two indigenous BHISHM Cubes capable of providing advanced emergency medical care. The mission comes after devastating double earthquakes in Venezuela that have claimed at least 235 lives and injured more than 4,300 people. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said India stands firmly with the people and government of Venezuela during this humanitarian crisis. The Indian Army's specialised medical contingent will establish a fully equipped field hospital capable of performing trauma care, emergency surgeries, ICU support, and lifesaving treatment. Developed under the Aarogya Maitri initiative, the BHISHM Cube can function as a complete portable hospital and treat up to 200 patients in disaster-
