Most of the suspects, including minors, arrested and arraigned in court today over Thursday’s demonstrations claim they have been falsely accused despite having no involvement in the protests. Some say they were arrested while going about their normal activities, while parents say their children were simply running errands when they were apprehended. This comes as more than 389 people, including ten students, were arraigned across the country in connection with the demonstrations, with some accusing the government of using the courts to deny them their constitutional right to peaceful protest.
