Katiba Institute accuses IG Kanja of contempt over road closures

Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja stands accused of having acted in contempt of court orders by blocking roads in response to commemorative Gen-Z assemblies that were planned for Thursday. The crime Katiba Institute accuses Kanja of committing is blockading the roads without advance notice as per conservatory orders first issued in July last year. In an application made before the High Court on Friday, Katiba INTITUTE accused the IG of flanking Interior Cabinet Secretary Kichumba Murkomen when he assured the public that Thursday would be a normal working day yet proceedING to frustrate the public's efforts in this endeavour.
