The Caribbean island of Grenada produces about 20% of the world’s nutmeg. Supporting 30% of the country’s farmers and serving as a cornerstone of its economy. But as ocean temperatures rise, stronger and more frequent storms are destroying nutmeg crops. The United Nations has even labelled nutmeg as one of the most vulnerable crops due to extreme weather.
