Brazilian World Cup winger, Rayan, expressed his solidarity with the people of Venezuela after the devastating twin earthquakes that struck the country this week. The official death toll from the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes has reached 1,430. At least 51,000 people are reported missing, and more than 3,300 people have been injured, as rescue teams continue searching through the rubble. Since the tragedy, FIFA has held a minute's silence before World Cup matches to honour the victims, with players, referees, and fans paying their respects across stadiums before kick-off. #worldcup2026 #mtjag Watch CGTN LIVE on your computer, tablet or mobile https://www.cgtnnow.com/featured/events/cgtn-live-now-1 Subscribe to CGTN America on YouTube Follow CGTN America: X: @cgtnamerica Facebook: @cgtnamerica Instagram: @cgtnamerica TikTok: @cgtnamerica This material is distributed by MediaLinks TV, LLC on behalf of CCTV.
