Nigeria begins evacuation of citizens from South Africa after xenophobic attacks

Nigeria is facilitating the repatriation of hundreds of its citizens from South Africa following a wave of xenophobic attacks targeting foreign nationals. More than a thousand Nigerians have registered to return home amid mounting fears for their safety. Returnees describe losing livelihoods, property and loved ones to violence.
