Hundreds of volunteers gathered across Caracas on June 29 to sort humanitarian aid and register for relief efforts following the devastating 7.2- and 7.5-magnitude earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24. At collection centres including the Central University of Venezuela and the Poliedro de Caracas, students, residents and volunteers packed food, clothing, medical supplies and other essentials for communities in the hardest-hit regions, including La Guaira.
