Stories of survival are emerging from Venezuela, where searches are continuing for the thousands of people still missing since last week's 7.2- and 7.5-magnitude earthquakes. US search and rescue teams working alongside local firefighters pulled a 9-month-old baby and his mother from the rubble, both with only minor injuries. In the northern port city of La Guaira, a mother and her 18-day-old baby survived for 32 hours before they were rescued from underneath rubble. Video shows Dayana Patino and her newborn son Juan David Trujillo shortly after they were pulled from what remained of their apartment building. The rescues come as the death toll rises above 1,400, with many more still unaccounted for. Original reporting by AP/Reuters.
