More people have been pulled alive from the rubble days after two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela, as fears grow that the death toll will continue to rise. The quakes - which hit within seconds of each other on Wednesday and measured magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 - have killed at least 1,430 people, with tens of thousands still believed to be missing. Aid agencies say that after an earthquake, the first 72 hours are critical to saving lives, although this window can be longer if those trapped have access to food and water.
