A petition calling for the NHS breast screening programme to start at the age of 40 rather than 50, and for women to be offered annual mammograms, will be debated by MPs on 29 June after attracting more than 106,000 signatures. Currently, women in England are invited for routine NHS breast screening every three years between the ages of 50 and 71.
