Hanson and One Nation’s support drops in the polls

In two new polls taken in the week after Pauline Hanson’s 17 June National Press Club address, support for One Nation and the Coalition both fell. A recent Newspoll had One Nation at 29 per cent of the primary vote (down two) and the Coalition at 17 per cent (down one). Another poll, from RedBridge Group, had One Nation down two at 29 per cent and the Coalition down two at 18 per cent. The two polls also showed Labor had retaken the lead in the primary vote, at 33 per cent in Newspoll’s and 30 per cent in RedBridge’s. Hanson’s net favourability in RedBridge slumped ten points to -10, while Angus Taylor’s net approval in Newspoll was down 10 points to -20. Anthony Albanese’s net approval rose seven points to -17 (57 per cent dissatisfied, 40 per cent satisfied), off his record low in the previous Newspoll.
