Maxell's Remix portable cassette deck does away with some of the most annoying parts of the old-school tape deck experience, namely grinding through AA batteries and catching the headphone cord on things. As far as audio quality, it sounds pretty much how you'd expect from a modern tapedeck, but if you're listening to music on your phone speaker you probably won't even mind.
