Britain has unveiled a four-year defence investment plan worth nearly $20bn to strengthen deterrence and reach 3.5% of GDP by 2035. Funding will expand nuclear capabilities, procure 12 F-35A jets and long‑range missiles, and back UK‑developed unmanned vessels to guard vulnerable subsea communications cables.
