Footage captured by Jason Howlett shows two wildlife workers in high-visibility vests herding Neil, the southern elephant seal, away from a residential area in Tasmania, Australia. One officer can be seen gently prodding the 1,000-kilogram sea creature while his colleagues use a sheet of plywood to guide Neil away from the neighbourhood on June 25. The team managed to keep the five-year-old animal on the road, slowly steering him towards the opposite side as workers closed the lane to keep passing vehicles at a safe distance. Neil is a subadult southern elephant seal well known for wandering into residential streets and around local piers.
