Energy for AI doesn't have to mean blackouts, exorbitant energy bills, or impossible trade-offs. This talk shares why energy costs are surging across the grid for the general public; what policy makers, tech companies and power operators must do to efficiently and responsibly scale AI, along with practical steps every general consumer can take right now. Everybody must do their bit to ensure this is done right. Sid Thatham is an Energy Engineer in the Department of Utilities and an Asst. Professor (Adj.) in the College of Engg. & Applied Sciences at the University of Cincinnati (UC). He is originally from India and moved to Cincinnati to go to grad school for a Master's in Chemical Engineering and an MBA.
