The year 2026 marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Over the past 105 years, the "world's largest political party," with over 100 million members, stays true to its founding mission of serving the people and offering Chinese perspectives on global challenges. With hundreds of millions of tonnes of plastic waste generated globally each year, plastic pollution has become one of the most critical environmental crises facing humanity. Miguel Angel Gonzalez Contreras, a young Mexican living in Sanya, Hainan Province, set out to explore how the city is tackling this issue.
